A Joomla K2 component

This is for owners of sites built around the Joomla K2 component, and want visitors to be able to post comments, but not have to register with the site to do so.

com_tc_comments screen shot When a comment is posted, later visitors can vote "yes" or "no" on the comment (as in dailykos.com), or click "report" for inappropriate comments. The administrative area for this component lists reported comments and comments with more than three "no" votes. The administrator can delete reported comments, and also blacklist the IP address of the commenter.

This component uses Ajax, and the vote count is updated immediately.

This component, unfortunately, requires a patch to the K2 core. A patch file for version 2.5 of K2 is provided.

Updated for Joomla 2.5 on Feb. 11, 2012. Click here to download the component.

I contributed a Joomla module

Screen shot of mod_thiscategoryIt's mod_thiscategory. What it does is, when you display an individual Joomla article, it displays the titles and links to other articles in the same category. To see it in action, click here or here.

Welcome to my site

I've gotten into using the Mambo Server content management system for developing web sites. During the 2005 provincial election campaign, I started a blog. I've decided to keep it going, so I've re-arranged this site to accomodate it.
